Hallo,
hier noch ein IBM Dokument:
Determining Why Access for Windows Navigator Functions Are Empty

Document Description
Occasionally, when a function like Basic Operations is opened in the Access for Windows Navigator, it has no items listed under it. This is sometimes described as empty containers or empty hives.

This behavior occurs for several reasons. Following is a list of things to verify:

Is the function installed?

Open Selective Setup to verify that the missing Access for Windows Navigator functions are actually installed. Click on Start, Programs, iSeries Access, Selective Setup. On the screen asking what components to install or uninstall, expand the Access for Windows Navigator function. If the box is checked, that means that the component is installed.

In Access for Windows r6.1 and later, there is no Selective Setup utility, the same function is found in the Add/Remove Programs, Modify capablity.

Is Application Administration blocking access?

In the Access for Windows Navigator menu bar, chose View and Function Availability. This lists if Application Administration, or possibly something else, is restricting the Access for Windows User.

Try a Rescan.

The rescan function is originally meant to scan the IBM i for Navigator Plug-ins. However, this can sometimes refresh the Access for Windows Navigator functions to show what should be shown.

Is the Windows User significantly restricted authority?

There are some cases when the functions in the Access for Windows Navigator will expand just fine with an Administrator account, but not with a very restricted user account.

If none of these situations apply, report the issue to Service and they will provide instructions on capturing trace and diagnostic data.
