To determine the problem, do the following:

Note: There may be many reasons why a CPF8933 is posted. This document is an attempt to give basic troubleshooting.

1 Is there an SNA connection to the destination specified in the RMTLOCNAME parameter? If there is no SNA connection, an SNA connection must be configured.
2 If there is an SNA connection configured, verify if other SNA applications work. For example, try to perform a STRPASTHR command with that remote location and using mode QSOCCT.

For example: STRPASTHR RMTLOCNAME(remote_location) MODE(QSOCCT)
3 If the passthru works, check the network attributes of both systems for the Network ID. If the network IDs are different, it must be specified in the SAVRSTLIB or SAVRSTOBJ command.

For example: SAVRSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) LIB(QTEMP) RMTLOCNAME(APPN.SYSTEMA)

For the RMTLOCNAME parameter, specify the remote network ID of the remote system, a period, and the name of the remote system.
